Title:
A Reformulation of the Dirac-Frenkel Principle and the Bogoliubov-de-Gennes equations

Abstract:
Effective evolution equations are central to the study of non-stationary quantum many-body systems, and widely used in many contexts such as superconductivity, nuclear physics and Bose-Einstein condensation. We reformulate the Dirac-Frenkel approximation principle, and apply it to fermionic many-body systems. We obtain the Bogoliubov-de-Gennes equations. Furthermore, we prove well-posedness of the Bogoliubov-de-Gennes equations in energy space.
