Title: Schur-Weyl duality and entanglement

Abstract:
A tensor product of N copies of a Hilbert space can naturally be decomposed into symmetry types using Schur-Weyl duality. This leads to subspaces like the bosonic (fully symmetric) and fermionic (fully antisymmetric) ones, but also to more complicated symmetry types. Using examples, I will motivate these concepts, discuss how we might
think about entanglement in these spaces, and explain why that matters.
