Master's Defence: Quantum Repeaters with very noisy Bound Entanglement

Abstract: Over the years, it has become clear that, while still connected, Entanglement Distillation and Key Distillation are different things. This stimulated the creation of a new formalism, intrinsically quantum, to describe what a secure key is. We used this formalism in the attempt to shine similar light in the field of Quantum Repeaters. Instead, we found striking new properties of the formalism itself.
