Title: Entanglement for noisy channel coding

Abstract:
I will discuss the task of classical communication over a classical noisy channel, in particular the advantage that can be obtained by allowing the sender and the receiver to share entanglement. I will show that entanglement can be useful for some channels but the advantage cannot exceed a constant multiplicative factor in the setting of one sender and one receiver. However, in the network setting, it turns out that entanglement can significantly enhance communication rates.
