Title: Lieb–Thirring inequalities and Weyl-type asymptotics for difference operators

Abstract:
In my talk I will present sharp spectral inequalities for Jacobi operators. By means of an approximation argument I will relate the results to sharp Lieb–Thirring inequalities for Schrödinger operators on the real line. Subsequently I will introduce functional difference operators that emerge in the quantisation of mirror curves of special Calabi-Yau manifolds. I will present similar results for these operators, again highlighting connections to Lieb–Thirring inequalities for Schrödinger operators. This is partly joint work with A. Laptev and L. A. Takhtajan.
