Title:  Tailoring graph codes for quantum photonics

Abstract: Photons are a peculiar system to encode qubits, with capabilities and limitations that differ significantly from other platforms (superconducting, ions, etc.). To make applications more accessible with near-term photonic technologies it is important to tailor architectures to the specific hardware noises and native operations, something that has been relatively unexplored for this platform. In this talk I will discuss photonic quantum technologies and the efforts being done on this platform at the Niels Bohr Institute, presenting some recent theoretical results in tailoring graph codes for fault-tolerant quantum computation and communication to our hardware.
