Title: Landau paradigm for non-invertible symmetries and quantum lattice models
Abstract: I will discuss global categorical symmetries, which are symmetries of quantum systems that vastly generalise ordinary group-like symmetries. I will describe how such symmetries can aid in the exploration of highly entangled exotic phases of matter that go beyond the conventional symmetry based Landau paradigm. I will illustrate general lessons based on such symmetries using concrete one-dimensional quantum lattice models.
