Title: The spectrum of fermionic 1-body reduced density matrices

Abstract: I will review some aspects of the mathematical study of fermionic 1-body reduced density matrices. The purpose is to understand which spectra can occur when starting with a pure N-fermion state and tracing out all but one of the particles. The existence of a rich mathematical theory means the problem can be studied in detail, which makes it an instance of the quantum marginal problem that is (somewhat) tractable. I will also briefly discuss the case of hard-core bosons.
